"Eat more fruits
and vegetables."
It’s the one recommendation in almost every diet plan, every guide to nutrition, every fitness book. Even organizations such as the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the World Health Organization, the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, and the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion agree. But as much as it’s preached, most people still don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables every day.
Juice Plus+ helps fill that gap.

It's good that you're listening to your body. It's the best thing you could do. I know what you mean about running on pavement. I don't have knee problems but I still feel like it's much tougher on my body. This morning, I ran 3 miles (I went south on Rt. 31 and when I got to McLean, I turned around and came back. I ran alongside the road which was mostly dirt/grass and wow, what a huge difference. That was probably my best run ever! Well, if you ever go back to running again, let's do a 5K! My nephew's running this Saturday with me but he's 15 so I told him not to wait for me! :)

There has been little running for me lately! My knees kill me when I run for any serious length of time. Lately, I am more apt to hit the roller blades if I want a good cardio session out doors. I did just purchase a jump rope the other day at Dick's.
Working on flexibility might help me with the knees hurting, Hamstring muscles I know are very short. I wonder if this could be why?. I do love to run, but I know better. I also want to hit a good shoe sometime to see getting properly fitted shoes help. Running on pavement just feels like I am hurting my self.
I do take very long fairly high intensity walks though along the river trails. Maybe a 5K walk is more in order for me!
Good to hear from you!

Hey Mike, welcome to FitConnect! I'm so excited you joined. There's lots of neat info here. I haven't blogged much here but I love to cook so check out my recipes. Have you ran any 5Ks in our area? There's that Fox River one in Batavia this Saturday. I'm hoping for cooler weather (like today) and no rain.
