Snow Job Blizzard keeping you from going to the gym? No worries. Shoveling that driveway will tone your entire body and torch nearly 400 calories an hour.


But as with any other workout, you can injure yourself if you don't take the proper precautions.  Space your hands a foot apart on the handle for more lifting leverage and squatting down with your legs apart and back straight rather than bending at the waist. Let your shoulders, torso, and thighs do most of the work. . Finally, turn your whole body to dump the snow instead of tossing it over your shoulder. A sudden twisting motion can cause you to pull a back muscle."
Well, gotta go shovel. Mother Nature delivered another 6 inches of the heavy wet stuff overnight!

Keep shoveling rb - you can have all of our snow also ! Hopefully it wiil all fall on you before it reaches Chicago !! Ah, ah !!

We finally have a break today. The sun is out - yay - but the temperature is -3 - BOO! I have enough snow thank-you very much! We set a record for the month of December - 61 inches! I miss my outdoor runs!!!!!!!!!
