Don't Go Home After Work Before Hitting the Gym

Just a quick tip. Bring your gym bag with you to work and head straight from work to the gym. If you go home first there is a good chance you will never make it to the gym. Also you are very likely to waste a bit of time at home because of all of the distractions. Another side benefit is that if you pick a gym close to your work place, you can avoid rush hour traffic.

eat a pre-workout meal before leaving work so you dont train on an empty stomach

So true! I would end up sitting down to check my e-Mail and before I knew it I had an hour before the gym closed!

I've had this problem before. I get to my house and see all the chores that need to be done and before I know it, I've pushed back my gym time a few hours or just have not gone at all! I've done the gym bag at work thing before and it works (as well as saves precious time)...but sometimes I forget it in the AM (rushing myself and a 2-yr old to get ready and out the door)...so I've had to depend on my willpower and self-motivation to get myself to the gym. I just make sure I run immediately to my room upon entering the house, change into gym attire and run back out without a second glance at the place.
