Keeping routine when on the go

When traveling, don't let your diet and fitness routine go to the wayside.  Don't forget to make the healthiest food choices possible.  If you are going to splurge (a banana split for example) compensate by extra calorie burning or making sure your calories and choice of nutritious foods make the most sense during the rest of the day.  If you adopt the "all or nothing" mindset when you stray from your diet, you'll let it slip so far it will be difficult to get control of it again.  Take tuna, low fat crackers, protein drinks and tons of fruits and veggies (if possible) and omegas to keep that balance.  You don't have to eat out all of the time.  Find running tracks and /or make use of every fitness room you can find when it works into the fun or work requirements of your trip.  Use your travel weights and strength bands.  Keeping variety in your workout to maintain is paramount to keeping up your strength and endurance.  Most of all, don't let more than a couple of days go by where you stray from a good workout routine and nutrition plan.

Good Luck!!  KPmodel

Some people think "vacation" means vacation from healthy eating too....
That would just make you feel worse when you came back home...so why do it?

THANKS!

That is soooo true!! Everything in moderation! Not saying we should totally deprive ourselves of special treats now and again. Need to keep it within reasonable limits :)
