what do i do if the protein bar i bought tastes horrible?

on 3/1/2009 by BrazilBadBoy | filed in: Nutrition and Supplements

So I have a friend who works at gnc and he recently got a shippment of protein bars that were mostly like broken and the one that were still were all sold. And the other day i was talking to him about all the supplements i have already bought and that i was thinking about buying protein bars so i could take it on the go with me if i had to go somewhere outside my schedule. He told me he had about 60 at the store and would sell them to me. So being stupid that i am without opening one to see how it was just bought all 60 of them. So i'm in ny today at the train, i take out the protein bar to eat and after the first bite... well it sucked! lol
now i'm wondering. any knows any way i could still have those protein bars so my money won't go to waste without having to want to smash my head in the wall everytime i eat it? Has anyone ever tried throwing one in the blender with some other stuff and chugging it down?

Try topping it with baked apple and cinnamon as long as there is no chocolate on it.

Take the loss and learn the lesson. If they taste horrible, there could be something wrong with them, so which is the greater loss: a bunch of horrible bars, or a horrible trip to the hospital due to sickness? Who knows what could be wrong with those bars if they have been possibly tampered with after the fact, or if its a bad batch all together. I'd just take the loss and not eat the bars. Tell your friend about it and if he's a true friend, he might make up for the mistake of selling you some bad stuff and make it up some other way.

Lol force it down, or drink something with it.
Or
Buy a different kind of protein bar.

if you really cant force it down, the blender thing doesnt sound like such a bad idea. just like break it up into pieces and put it protein powder and it might not be as bad. give it a shot. if it still tastes like shit, then you're screwed
