Well its all about what does it for you. Like for me, I just never let myself be good enough for myself. I hate myself on purpose, so 6 days a week I can drag myself to the gym and kick my own ass for an hour or so. And that mentality works for me. But it's always mental, you just have to focus. Get in the right state of mind.

Picture in your mind what goals you want to have " met " 6 months or a year from now. Focus on your goals and the "results" !! Remember "Success is the Sum of Small Efforts" !! Get enough sleep to let your body "recover" !! Good Luck, I know all of us fitsters are wishing you all the BEST !! BBB ; )

Take some time off.....set a date to get back on it and hit it hard. By an ipod or some new kicks or an outfit to workout in. What's the big deal? You probably need rest anyway; breathe easy.

Maybe, though I have a 12K this coming Sun and I have 2 sprint tris to train for. I have an iPod and I'm constantly adding new tunes and updating it. I also use a Nike +, though I haven't really taken advantage of the trainer aspect and I'm thinking that should definitely be one of my next moves! - runningbear

I've got this great friend on fitconnect.com who always makes me feel like I need to get off my @$$ and do more.... she is so full of energy and enthusiasm that you can't help but love her... maybe you should chat with her... her name is runningbear... oh wait... you two meet in the mirror every morning don't you... in that case my suggestion would be to allow yourself a healthy indulgence for a job well done... something that you can look forward to after your run. Mine is a smoothie. By the way... I thought of you yesterday while I was at the gym. You know I'm not a jogger... but while I was walking the track my iPod hit a song with a good beat and I took off running... I only made it a lap and a half, but I was surprised I was able to make one lap. You're rubbing off on me... don't stop now!

Wow. THANK-YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!! I SO needed this pep talk this morning! You have no idea how much it's helped!!!!! - runningbear

Try going to the gym or working out with someone else. I experienced the exact same feeling and having someone there to motivate me, helped me alot. I really think everyone have that moment. If all is well, treat yourself to the spa. lol

When there are a lot of extraneous things beyond our control coming at us we tend to want to plunk down and do nothing. You do need to take care of those important things. That includes doing things for others. Keep sight that one of the most important aspencts of one's life is health. Don't allow other stresses pull you down. Refuse to let dispair take over and DO keep fighting against that feeling. Keep pressing forward with determination!!

Thanks KP. I need to workout to keep my sanity and control stress, but sometimes stress seems to be controlling ME!! - runningbear

I always get that, I try to think of my progress and set myself new goals, but if that fails I found that going with someone really gets you going again, especially when they are new to the whole workout thing... newbies always feel a buzz when they see any results, that enthusiasm tends to rub off on me. hopefully that helped.

It does. I would LOVE to have a workout buddy!! - runningbear
