Preparation Show Picture
Standing, hold one dumbbell at your side with the palm facing in (the arm being exercised) and use the other arm to stabilize yourself against a bar or wall.


Step 1  Show Picture
Keeping the dumbbell in close to your body, lift the weight straight up to your chin. Your elbow should be above the dumbbell at the peak of your lift, pulling the weight upward.


Step 2 Show Picture
After a slight pause, lower the dumbbell back to right above starting position.


Step 3 Show Picture
Repeat with opposite arm.
