Preparation Show Picture
Standing (slightly hunched over), hold a dumbbell at each side with your palms facing in toward your body.


Step 1  Show Picture
Lift your elbows up and back, raising the dumbbells straight up. The dumbbells should stay aligned with your body. At the peak of your lift, pinch your shoulder back and in and do a slight pause.


Step 2 Show Picture
Slowly lower the dumbbells back down to your waist.
