We often forget how important sleep is to ensure we are fit and healthy. Here are some of the reasons why we NEED good quality sleep:
1. REPAIR MUSCLE: Muscle tissue breaks down and repairs during sleep. Your body also uses this time to repair your bones, organs and body tisse and produce growth hormones.
2. HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE: Not getting enough sleep can resut in high blood pressure and increase your risk of heart disease.
3. OBESITY: Sleeping for less than 5 hours a day causes an increase in your metabolic rate, and can result in gaining 5.5kg of weight per year, leading to obesity.
4. DIABETES: Your body can react to sleep loss by an insulin resistance, meaning your cells fail to use insulin efficiently, resluting in high blood sugar levels.

"Sweatworking" is already an established concept in the US, and is quickly spreading to the UK and other parts of the world. But is it really a professional way to carry out business meetings? Lets look at the pros & cons...
What is Sweatworking? The amalgamation of the words sweating & networking (basically conducting business meetings, job interviews and checking your emails whilst you work out at the gym)
The pros:
As we all live increasingly busy lives, getting two major parts of our day (working out & business meetings) done at the same time is going to mean we have more time for other things like spending time with loved ones.
