If you run, cycle, or LIVE, chances are someday you may be in an accident. I certainly HOPE that never happens to you (or to me), but it's best to be prepared. I bike with my cell phone, but it's too cumbersome for running. Several weeks ago a guy from my church who's an avid and EXPERIENCED (30 + yrs) cyclist took a spill, wasn't wearing a helmet, and was knocked unconscious. Lucky for him someone who recognized him stopped to help. But he had no ID on him. I was stunned. You should always have some form of I.D. and carry an I.C.E. (in case of emergency) contact. I keep a photocopy of my driver's license in my iPod case with an I.C.E., my daughter's name and cell phone #, on the back. You can also buy I.D. bracelets and shoe clips. It doesn't really matter what you choose. Just please make sure you do this. It could literally save your life!!!
