With all the fitness apps available these days, your phone can do everything from tracking your workouts to helping you maintain a diet. For example, here are four cool apps every fitness junkie should download on their phone today.

1)	GymPact. The biggest problem with working out on your own is that it’s so easy to talk yourself out of going to the gym. A new app called GymPact fixes that problem by forcing you to put your own money the line. The app forces users to ante up a certain amount of cash when scheduling their workouts. If you check into the gym using your phone’s GPS, you get to keep your money for the day. If you don’t, then you can kiss that change goodbye. The app is currently available for free on iOS and Android.

2)	GymTechnik. If you’re in need of a full fitness suite, look no further than GymTechnik. The app allows you to m... read more

However, many people don’t realize that the manual labor required to build a table or paint a room is great for building muscle and shedding pounds. So if you’re looking for a creative new way to squeeze in your daily workout, here are a few projects that will get your heart pumping – and help your home look a lot better at the same time.

1)	Build a set of patio furniture out of shipping pallets. Why spend a fortune on patio furniture when you can just build your own for next-to-nothing? Shipping pallets are all the rage these days, and with some strategic arrangement you can turn them into a whole set of chairs, couches and tables for your deck. Plus, the construction process will be a great workout for your lats, arms and legs. You can find a slew of patio furniture blueprints over on Pinterest.

2)	Paint a room. Some types of it are good for you, some types of it are bad for you, but everybody has it and most people can live a healthy life in spite of it. However, if you let your bad cholesterol levels spike too high, plaque can start to build up in your arteries, putting you at risk of a heart attack or stroke.
Luckily, keeping your body plaque-free isn’t difficult. By incorporating a little bit of exercise into your daily routine you can keep the bad cholesterol at bay while simultaneously making yourself healthier overall – and by “a little bit” I mean you don’t even have to go to the gym to do it. For example, here are four easy everyday exercises that you can use to keep your cholesterol levels in check.

1)	Take the stairs. Studies suggest that aerobic exercise is the most effective type of exercise when it comes to reducing bad cholesterol (which is also known as LDL). Funny jokes are created to reflect life in unusual, hilarious and entertaining ways. A good laugh is as infectious as funny jokes are impacting to life. In adding humor to life's experiences, funny jokes make the world worth smiling. The laughter that funny jokes bring makes people feel like a kid again and cope with difficult situations by looking at the lighter side of any circumstance in life. Funny jokes bring simple pleasures in life as they present a classic way of keeping people entertained.

One thing that is great about funny jokes is that it gives people a great way to channeling life's negativity and turning it into something that is constructive. It uses your pain as the basis of humor, your cynics as your wits, and it uses puns for its punch lines. Funny jokes provide you with a constructive use of your lies, untruths and frustrations. Having the correct routine will ensure that you have great punching power that will enable you to beat your opponent.
Here’s a guide to gaining arms like a cage fighter:
Take your Time
When working your arms, you also need to make sure you are lifting the weights up for one second and down for three seconds with each repetition. The downward (eccentric) phase of the exercise is the most important as it will ensure that three times as many muscle fibres are activated. Lowering each weight steadily and slowly will work the biceps and triceps much harder, whilst your muscles will also be under load a little longer.

Working to failure will help you to achieve results

To build up the strength in your muscles you must fatigue the arms to make sure th... read more

But here is such a thing as pushing too hard and too fast.

Today’s fitness business industry is almost all too happy to push products that either promise instant or near-instant results. The level of this approach is on experienced fitness level while being marketed to fitness beginners – a perfect recipe for disastrous results as well as injury. Ideally, you want to shape and mold your body in the right way while keeping yourself free from injury. Remember, getting hurt and injured means less time for work-outs. This creates the need for focus in conducting your work-out than the frequency.

Avoid a Workout Injury Tip 1: Focus on Form and Technique
Laying down the proper foundation for your efforts in the gym is very important to... read more

This study was conducted by Dr Julia Hush of the Back Pain Research Group (University of Sydney). The preliminary study was published in the European Spine Journal. The study involved 53 office workers at the University of Sydney in course of a year.

The study reveals that this stems mainly from use of computers.

Using computers put a person in a position where the neck is often strained and unsupported for long periods of time. Aside from the position, people aged over 30 years are also 2.61 times more likely to suffer neck pain than younger professionals. Even more surprisingly, ergonomically-correct workspaces reduce the occurrence of neck pain a bit but correct ergonomics do not affect the outcome. You know the look - huge pumped up, over worked chests and shoulders and tiny underworked legs and backs.

What these guys don’t realize is they have a serious shoulder injury in the making. A lack of balance, especially through the shoulders, is an extremely common cause of shoulder and training related injury. Repetitive work outs, such as those focused on bench presses, shoulder presses, pull up, etc, only target improving the appearance of muscles rather than building strength through the whole body. This kind of training routine is dangerous and can lead to strain.

A Balanced and Unbalanced Workout
A balanced workout routine works a range of muscle areas and uses different styles of exercise is far more beneficial for preventing shoulder injury and a range of repetitive strain injuries. Do you want your skin to look fresh and to glow, even on those cold winter days? If you do, then you need to add more protein to your diet.

With such a hectic lifestyle it's easy to forget to eat right. Sometimes, after a long day at work, you don't have time to go home to cook a meal - so you might indulge in take-out food or a ready-meal instead. If you are guilty of this, then you are denying your body of the vital nutrients it needs.

Having a high-protein diet is important. From hair to finger nails, protein is a major functional and structural component for your cells. Protein provides the body with approximately 15 per cent of its dietary energy; plus, it's vital for muscle growth and repair.

What are proteins?

Proteins are large molecules made up of long chains of amino acid. Scientists have discovered more than 100 anabolic steroids, but only a small number of these are available for authorized use in animals and humans.

The steroids that are regulated for use are only available through prescription.
