Well hello there everyone, long time no see.
I started walking 6 weeks after I was recoverd from having my c-section, either in the malls or outside, depending how cold it is because we finally got snow. Also if its too cold to go outside I do aerobic walking with boosted walking (jogging) video at home. I want to start my post pardum workout soon but I am really busy doing a whole house clean before Christmas so maybe I will start that after the new year. I have lost 42 lbs in the past 3 months and have 23 more lbs to lose my goal is to lose that by April 15, 2010 and I think I would like to lose another 15 lbs on top of that.
Later

Well I had a major surgery to have my baby because he was a breech so besides walking a bit each day to make sure I heal properly I can't do any excercise until I am completely healed which won't be until the middle of October...I have never had a c-section before so its disappointing that I can't do to much lifting (only my baby and under 10lbs) and I can't walk to far until I am healed...I am not in pain anymore but my stomach and stomach muscles still need to heal.
My baby was 8lbs 14 ounces and his name is Tristan Graham Kenneth Weaver.
As soon as I am healed I am going to get back to my walking challenges I miss walking so much!... read more

Well my last walking challenge was completed on August 1 and it was really tough to finish even though it was only 40.63km. So I decided that I should mostly rest for the remainder of my pregnancy which was also recomened by my doctor. Although that doesn't mean I haven't done any walking...I have had 2 months off work and I take my kids to the park, walk to the mall, shop for hours on end lol and walk to the store ect (I just haven't logged those walks) and wow I am so happy I did so much walking in my second trimester because it totally save my back from the dreaded tail bone back pain I would have been suffering with right now.
Also my baby boy in my belly has not been so cooperative in his duties lol...he should have started to try and turn around when I was 28 weeks but now I am 38 weeks and he is still breech so my doctor wanted to try and turn the baby but I didn't have a good feeling about it a... read more

My ass and my thighs feels huge lol but its okay I know it will go away.
Anyway as I have said before I have been walking since Mar 27, 2009 and as of today I have walked 274.42km and I am on my 2nd walking challenge to walk 120.70km in 30 days...as I told you in an earlier blog I have just completed a 160.93km walking challenge. And still I am walking every single day...no rest days for me. I am walking between 1 and 8km a day.... read more

This is a story I posted on MapMyWalk.com that I wanted to share with everyone here
My grand mother had passed away May 20, 2008. Mary only had 1 sister but she had 12 children and over 100 combined grand children and great grandchildren and even has a few little ones on the way. She was married but my grandpa had passed away when my mom was about 8 years old (not sure exactly when but I know it was close to that age) so my grandma raised all 12 children all by herself.
Her passing was a difficult time in our lives and being only a year past even harder. But in her memory I had decided I was going to organize a walk for the whole family to do whether near or far. Once I had made that decision I cried because I realized only a few nights before I had a dream that grandma was alive and some of the family was going for a walk with her she was smiling a big smile. We were all so happy and missing spending time together... read more
