This is that wonderful time of the year when stuffing our faces full of cookies, candy and pie sounds more interesting that jogging or hitting the weights. It's that wonderous time when we think to ourselves "I'll change these bad habits AFTER the new year comes." If you have been dieting, don't stop now. I'm not saying pass by on ALL the fattening goodies because that is just not realistic. Why do you want to go 10 steps backwards or set yourself up for failure? Have your favorite treats in MAJOR moderation. Don't go overboard and don't eat just to be doing something. This is the time of the year when we go out of our way to spend time with those we love. Food does no need to be the focal point, nor SHOULD it be. Your time, which is often hard to come by, is what is most important.
