Slimfast?

on 2/2/2010 | filed in: Personal
Hey everyone,
I just wanted to post this regarding what I eat in the morning to see if anyone had any opinions or concerns since it's been on my mind lately.
Sometimes when I wake up in the morning for school I don't end up having time to sit and eat the breakfast that I normally would (usually oatmeal, whole grain toast or some type of cereal with skim milk and a piece of fruit). So because I don't like skipping a meal for various reasons, I bought a can of the Slimfast meal replacement shakes. I figured since it replaces a meal and is quick and can be taken with me, it's better than skipping breakfast all together. If I eat it, I usually grab like a banana or something to go with it. The label says it has a bunch of vitamins and whatnot and is pretty low in calories and fat. My only concern is that it seems to have quite a bit of sugar.
Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone knows if there's anything wrong with Slimfast or if this isn't a good idea for me to be doing.
Thanks. (:

All I know is my local grocer removed the product from the shelves for some reason. Something isn't right with the product at the moment. Rule of thumb: REAL food is the best way to a healthy life. Keep adding those healthy snacks every 2-3 hrs.

Try a frozen banana with some orange or apple juice mixed in a blender. Very healthy and simple to make - good luck !!
