Greetings,
Tonight's run after a weekend of way-too-much-food ended up showing me just how much I over-ate and how much it affected how I felt during the run.
I did the following:
Jog 2 minutes to the track.
Jog 2 minutes around the track.
Jog 100m, Race-Pace 100m x 8 (4 laps)
Jog 300m, RP 100m x 4 (4 laps)
Walk home for recovery.
The minute I got down to the track I started to just feel sluggish. I'm sure it was a combination of:
1. too many brats & burgers on Saturday's family bash
2. more brats & burgers & leftovers on Saturday night
3. more leftovers to help reduce my sister's food inventory on Sunday
4. a footlong Ham sub at Subway, eaten at about 4pm.
My run started at about 6:50pm tonight, and my body just felt 'heavy' with all that stuff I ate. Sometimes you just have to push through your bad feelings and see how your body handles them. Toni... read more
