HelderLuis Hi Rusty

I´m glad you've enjoyed Mexico, the food in Portugal is much different, Portugal has an huge variety of foods, it's a very rich gastronomy, traditionally our food was more based in fish, red wine, olive oil, bread, cereals, veggies and fruit. That was more in the coast areas, if you move to the interior fish will be replaced by meat, oh and beans also have a big impact in our gastronomy. We don't spice the foods much like the mexicans do. Nowadays we have the junk food invasion, so most people don't eat the more traditional foods (mediterranean diet) , we're becoming more unhealthy, but that's a global problem i guess. In Europe you'll find a very rich gastronomy, it differs in every country.

Thanks for the compliment on the blog, the visitors average is rising, i hope it continues to grow.

Have a nice weekend

Rusty Helder,

Mexico was great! I am going through withdrawals because it was such an amazing resort and the water was so warm. I need to go to Portugal and Spain to see how much the food differs. In Puerto Vallarta that used a lot of fish in their dishes, which I loved. Is the food in Portugal anything like Mexican food or is it different? I am clueless when it comes to this stuff, because I haven't been to Europe yet.

Have a great one...Nice work on the blog by the way!
